Privacy policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
1. Who is responsible?
Operator of dyogo.eu and its DyogoCodes and Dyogo4Kids sections: Dyogo, full legal name and postal address to be added.
Email: dyogocodes@gmail.com.
2. Hosting and technical access data
Our website is hosted on Netlify. When the website is requested, the hosting provider may process technical access information, including IP address, access time, requested page, browser and device information, to deliver the site and maintain its security and functionality. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Hosting logs are retained according to the provider's applicable settings and policy. Netlify may process data outside the EEA; applicable safeguards and agreements should be checked by the operator before launch.
3. Your analytics choice
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) with measurement ID G-RTEBE2ZKDT to evaluate page views, usage, and selected interactions such as project link clicks and successful book inquiries. We do not send book form field contents, children's names, dedications, or email addresses to Analytics.
Google Analytics is disabled by default. Its Google tag is downloaded and its analytics cookies are set only after you explicitly agree. The legal basis for optional analytics storage and associated processing is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the applicable German rules on accessing or storing information on your device. Without consent, the website remains usable and no Analytics tag is loaded.
If enabled, Google Analytics may process technical device data, browser information, page details, interactions, and approximate location. Google may process data in countries outside the EEA. Data retention depends on settings selected in the Google Analytics property and must be reviewed by the operator. Google's privacy policy provides additional details.
Your choice is saved in your browser's localStorage under dyogo_analytics_consent_v1, a functional preference, rather than sent to our server. You can refuse or withdraw consent at any time using the button below or the persistent “Cookie preferences” control. When withdrawing consent, we stop loading or using Analytics on subsequent pages and attempt to remove its first-party cookies; previously collected data cannot be retroactively erased by the cookie button.
4. Book inquiries via Netlify Forms
If you submit a Dyogo4Kids request, we process the entered contact email, child's first name, age group, selected theme and language, and any optional dedication, story ideas and special wishes, or uploaded child photo to respond to the request. Please do not provide sensitive information or a child's surname. Uploaded photos are used only as a visual reference for the requested character design and should only be shared if you have the right to do so. Requests are transmitted to and stored by Netlify Forms, and may be forwarded to our contact mailbox. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for steps requested before entering into a contract and, where relevant, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for responding to inquiries.
We use the information only to handle your inquiry and associated communication. It is not automatically sold to third parties. The operator must establish a suitable deletion schedule for inquiries, configure Netlify retention and access permissions, and verify any required data-processing agreements and international-transfer safeguards before commercial use.
5. Fonts and external links
Some Dyogo4Kids pages request Nunito and Fredoka fonts from Google Fonts. The browser connects to Google's servers to load these fonts, potentially transmitting technical access data and the IP address. This connection is separate from Google Analytics consent. The operator should review the legal basis and preferably serve the fonts locally before public launch. Links to platforms such as GitHub and Google take you to websites governed by their own privacy notices.
6. Your rights
Subject to the GDPR's requirements, you have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. You can also lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority. Contact dyogocodes@gmail.com to exercise your rights.
7. Revisions
We will update this notice if website functions, service providers or data-processing practices change.
